The organizing committee, in co-operation with the French Table Tennis Federation and Nouvelle Aquitaine Table Tennis Region, invites International Umpires to officiate at the forthcoming 2020 World Veteran Championships to be held in BORDEAUX from Monday 8th to Sunday 14th June 2020.
A total of about 100 umpires will be required.
It is an open invitation; there is no limit to the number of nominations per association.
Hospitality will be provided in a twin room, each umpire will receive Euro 25.00 per day All invited umpires must organize their own transportation to Bordeaux International Airport (Bordeaux Merignac – BOD) as well as travel and medical insurance. Local transport will be provided by shuttle or Metro.
Sunday 7th – Sunday 14th June 2020
Fulfilling the role of Table Manager for the first two days of the competition (Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th June), assisting the Field of Play Director by managing a group of tables and collecting results. On the last four days of competition (Thursday 11st June to Sunday 14th June) the role will be to umpire individual matches.
Arrival in Bordeaux no later than 11.00 am on Sunday 7th June is required.
Should a nominated umpire require a visa, please send the relevant details when submitting the nomination (copy of the main page of the passport and location of nearest French Embassy or Consulate). The organizing committee will provide an invitation letter for the applicant as well as visa related support. Please note all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant.
Evaluations for Blue Badge umpires and candidates will not be conducted.
Closing date for nomination is Thursday, 31st October 2019 at 4.00 pm. Please use the attached nomination form and send it by email to TTAM (ttammalaysia@gmail.com), copy to State TTA (State endorsement required), Mr. Lee Su Hau (a_lee438@yahoo.com) and Ms. Corrine Wong (corrinewcc@gmail.com). The list of umpires accepted will be advised on or before Tuesday 24th December 2019.
