Invitation for Umpires for WTT Feeder Düsseldorf events

Dear Colleagues,


The Local Organiser Committee (LOC) of the WTT Feeder Düsseldorf events invites International Umpires to officiate at the forthcoming WTT Feeder Düsseldorf events, which are scheduled to take place on:


Event I: 10 to 15 January 2022

Event II: 17 to 20 January 2022


This is an open invitation, therefore not all submissions will be accepted.


Only online nominations submitted by Member Associations will be considered.


Full hospitality will be provided in a single room from the day before the duty starts to breakfast on the day after the duty ends.


All invited umpires must organize their own transport to the region as well as travel and medical insurance. In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure. Local transport will be provided from and to the Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) or the Düsseldorf Central Train Station.


Umpires are required to adhere to the following Covid-19 requirements:


− All participants other than players will be required to be vaccinated with a Covid-19 vaccination when attending a WTT event.

− Any participant with a Covid-19 vaccination and proof of vaccination of a WHO EUL approved vaccine will only be required to only undertake a COVID-19 PCR test within 48 hours of arrival at the event, and/or in accordance with the local regulations of the country of the event, whichever is stronger (i.e. if the Government requires within 24 hours).

− Any participant who is vaccinated but not with a WHO EUL approved vaccination (list available here) will be required to undergo 7-day and within 48 hours of arrival testing as per the current regulations (or the stronger government regulations of the host if applicable).

− Match Officials will receive up to 85 Euro for a required PCR test (invoice has to be presented).

− Any participant who tests positive in either test shall not be permitted to attend the Event.

− Upon arrival, participants will get an Antigen Rapid Test (ART), cost covered by the LOC. − Pre-departure PCR test results are also available.

− If one Antigen Rapid Test on arrival is positive a PCR test, cost covered by the LOC, has to follow. The participant has to go into isolation in the hotel room immediately until the result is negative. If the result is positive, he/she has to stay in quarantine in the hotel room for 14 days (as per current local regulations). The umpire is responsible for all the costs associated to the isolation. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport). A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.


Each umpire will receive WTT Feeder Series Officiating Rates per competition day, according to WTT Directives for Match Officials and covered by the host (Blue Badge: 55 USD, White Badge 45 USD, Other umpires 35 USD).


The closing date for nominations is 9th December 2021 @ 4.00 pm.
