The "WTT Youth Contender Bangkok" will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, at Fashion Island, Ramindra on September 12-18, 2022. The Thailand Table Tennis Association would like to invite two or three International umpires (IU) to officiate the event.
It is an open invitation, therefore not all submissions may be accepted. Only online nominations submitted by bona fide National Associations will be considered; preference will be given to young umpires.
Full hospitality (excluding air tickets) will be provided in a twin room from dinner on 11 September to breakfast on 19 September.
All invited umpires must organize their own transport to the region as well as travel and medical insurance. In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure. Local transport will be provided from and to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).
Umpires are required to make their own arrangements for pre-departure COVID-19 test(s).
Non-vaccinated umpires will not be considered.
Fully vaccinated Umpires with the Digital COVID Certificate are required to take only the ART test within 48 hours prior to flight departure. Umpires shall send the Certificate to the Organiser up to 10 days prior event start.
The LOC will cover the cost of the Covid-19 tests and the limit of reimbursement per ART/PCR test is 20 USD/80 USD. In case a pre-departure Covid-19 test is needed prior departure from Thailand, the cost will be covered by the LOC. An umpire tested positive will be in isolation until he/she is tested negative and will be released of isolation. The umpire is responsible for all the costs associated to the isolation. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport). A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.
Each umpire will receive WTT Youth Series Officiating Rates per competition day:
Blue Badge Umpires: 45 USD
White Badge Umpires: 40 USD
The closing date for nominations is 24 August 2022 @ 4.00 pm. The list of umpires accepted will be advised on 30 August 2022.
