The ITTF Umpires and Referees Committee (URC), in cooperation with the Organising Committee of the ITTF World Youth Championships 2024, cordially invites Member Associations to nominate one or two White Badge (WB), Blue Badge in Progress (BBP), Blue Badge (BB), Gold badge (GB) umpires for the forthcoming prestigious event in Helsingborg, Sweden, from 22 November - 29 November 2024.
Hospitality starts from lunch on 21 November 2024 through to breakfast on day after the duty ends. All invited umpires apart of the umpires of the final days must organize their own transport to the region as well as travel and medical insurance. In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure.
On 21st November 2024 ITTF URC in cooperation with LOC will offer Advanced Umpires Training (AUT) (10.00 – 18.00) and an Advanced Rules Exam (ARE – online/English, you need to bring your own laptop – start 09.00) and during the event evaluations will take place.
Candidates, who are interested in ARE and/or AUT have to inform -additionally to the online nomination- ITTF URC via email: urc@ittf.com
Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant information after selection (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport)
Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant apart from the umpires of the final days and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.
Each umpire will receive daily allowance per competition day by LOC:
Gold Badge Umpires: 130 USD
Blue Badge Umpires: 105 USD
Blue Badge in Progress and White Badge Umpires: 70 USD
In case of day off the umpire shall receive 50% of the daily allowance
The closing date for nominations is 12th August 2024 @ 2.00 pm. Please complete the attached form and email to TTAM (ttammalaysia@gmail.com), copy to State TTA (State endorsement required), Mr. Lee Su Hau (a_lee438@yahoo.com) and Ms. Corrine Wong (corrinewcc@gmail.com).
The list of umpires accepted will be advised on or before 15th September 2024.
