The Local Organizer Committee (LOC) invites international umpires to officiate at the forthcoming WTT Youth Contender in Hong Kong.
The event will commence on 08th July 2024 and will conclude on 14th July 2024.
It is an open invitation; therefore, not all submissions may be accepted.
Only online nominations submitted by bona fide National Associations will be considered.
On 7th July 2024, time to be confirmed later with the candidates, ITTF URC in cooperation with LOC will offer an Advanced Rules Exam (ARE).
Advanced Umpires Training (AUT) will take place in online mode (2 sessions of 3 hours each) tentatively on 15th June and 22nd June 2024 and one on-site session one day before the event of the WTT Youth Contender Hong Kong 2024 on 7th July 2024.
During the event evaluations will take place. Candidates, who are interested in AUT and ARE have to inform - additionally to the online nomination- ITTF URC via email: urc@ittf.com.
Full hospitality will be provided in twin rooms from dinner on the day before the event starts to breakfast on the day after the event ends.
All invited umpires must organize their transport to the region as well as travel and medical insurance. In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure. Local transport will only be provided from and to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).
Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details after the selection (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport) to Ms. Ann WONG at hktta@netvigator.com with a copy of the passport and ID photo. A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.
Each umpire will receive daily allowance by LOC, per competition day:
Gold Badge Umpires: 65 USD
Blue Badge Umpires: 65 USD
Blue Badge Umpires in Progress: 60 USD
White Badge Umpires: 60 USD
National Umpires: 45 USD
In case of a day off the LOC shall pay 50% of the daily allowance.
The closing date for nominations is 15th April 2024 @ 2.00 pm.
The list of umpires accepted will be advised on or before 5th May 2024.
